Dowsing

I am dowsing every day for the
water of Your love, feeling
tugs on the branches
of my body, nudges
when I wander into
desert or brackish water.
I keep searching. When my
mind is clear I see Your divinity
everywhere, in everyone.
Otherwise
my judge pounds madly with her gavel,
almost gleefully dispensing opinions
and sentences.
When I see her, I want to remove the black
robe, put a finger to her lips
and send her for a plunge in Your shining water.
