Jim Carr Creates Lovely Album
with "The Space Below"

Jim Carr has created a classy album of smooth jazz guitar instrumentals. Each cut is executed with sharp, crystalline finger work, and they're as relaxing as a soak in a hot tub. Just the titles of the songs reveal something of Jim Carr’s heart and sensitivity.
As I listen to this album, I feel Jim’s warmth and desire to convey reassurance and calm to a worry-frenzied world. This is an album to listen to with a glass of wine in front of a warm fire, or as background music for a gathering of close friends.
“Nick’s Web” is a crisply played, sweet little excursion of joy.
“Solace”, “Mother”, and “Child” are three quiet pieces.
“Three Paths Converged” has a flowing feeling with a lot of energy.
“I Burn For You”, written by Sting, conveys a lover’s yearning heart.
“Planxty Irwin” is a traditional piece, played with intricacy and enthusiasm. I love this one especially.
“Last of Three” is a song that makes me wonder about the origin of the title. It seems to tell a sad story.
“Forgotten Things” is an understated piece that expresses longing.
