Beagle Freedom Project

Sep 7, 2013

The Beagle Freedom Project rescues beagles who have spent their lives enduring laboratory experiments, and helps prepare them to be adopted into permanent, loving homes. Beagles originally were bred as scent hounds and have been a favorite of hunters for their tracking ability. They are docile, responsive, submissive and forgiving, which also makes them ideal family pets. Dog breed texts refer to them as being "merry." Their sweet nature has tragically worked against them because it makes them ideal for use in experimentation. They are less likely than other animals to turn on humans.

If you feel called to adopt one of these sweet dogs, go to the Beagle Freedom website to find out about the process. Since they have not known a normal life prior to their rescue, they may have health and/or behavioral issues, such as being fearful. One of the sadder scars of their prior life is that some of them have had their voices removed.

Here is a link from TheVegetarianSite.com that lists companies that allegedly use, or have used, animal testing data for their products.

Companies That Still Test on Animals

We have no knowledge if the data from the website above is accurate, but it seems to be. Hopefully, as we get the word out, animal testing will become a sad chapter in the history of the world.
